Microsoft’s Xbox release game roadmap, Activision Blizzard joins rapid lineup

After Microsoft successfully acquired Activision Blizzard, its first-party game lineup expanded rapidly. Microsoft estimates gaming revenue will grow 40% next quarter after the merger is completed.

The roadmap starts in 2020, looking back at the first-party Xbox games released so far and looking ahead to 2024 and the game lineup in the coming years. Most of these games will be launched on Sony PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch game consoles.

After an in-depth analysis by game expert Joost van Dreunen, he said that after Microsoft completes the acquisition of Activision Blizzard King, first-party revenue will increase significantly, with annual revenue estimated to reach US$11.6 billion (currently about RMB 84.912 billion).

Microsoft’s current studios: Xbox Game Studio: including 343 Industries, Obsidian Entertainment and many other studios, with an estimated number of employees of more than 2,500.

  • B Company: Mainly focuses on games such as “Starfield”, Fallout, and The Elder Scrolls, with an estimated number of employees of more than 2,300.
  • Activision: Including series such as Call of Duty, the estimated number of employees exceeds 7,500.
