Microsoft XGP makes a splash on the PC platform, surpassing 15 million users

Xbox Game Pass, a game subscription service from Microsoft that lets users enjoy hundreds of high-quality games on PC, console or cloud, is one of the best subscription services available. The service recently announced an amazing statistic: there are already more than 15 million subscribers on the PC side.

This number was revealed by Microsoft’s Group Product Manager Mark Skwarski in his Link profile, which means that Xbox Game Pass’ influence on the PC platform can’t be underestimated, especially considering that Xbox itself is a console-based brand.

Microsoft has been working to expand the reach of Xbox in recent years, not just to consoles, but also to PC, mobile devices, smart TVs and other platforms, attracting more players through services like Game Pass and Xbox Cloud.

Microsoft also offers PC users quality first-party games such as Doom: Eternal and The Elder Scrolls 5, and has highly anticipated titles such as the upcoming Red Fall and Stars Hollow. All of these games will be added to Game Pass on launch day, allowing subscribers to be the first to experience them.

Previously, it was reported that XGP’s total subscribers have exceeded 25 million, which means that PC users may be more widely covered than console users.

It is worth noting that there may be some overlap between PC-side users and console-side users, but this does not affect the achievements of Game Pass on the PC platform. Some analysts predict that if Microsoft succeeds in acquiring Activision Blizzard, the total subscribers of Game Pass may reach 50 million, and the subscribers on PC side will also grow.

It can be said that Microsoft has used Game Pass to create a subscription platform that satisfies both gamers and developers, making Xbox not just a console brand, but an all-encompassing gaming ecosystem.
