Microsoft is building a new audio control for Windows 11 and has released a preview version. But the developers of EarTrumpet, a third-party Windows audio app, have pointed out that the new version of the control is very similar to its version.

EarTrumpet is an audio control software for Win10 / Win11 systems, which can individually control the volume of each application. Adjusting one app doesn’t affect the volume of other apps.

EarTrumpet was launched 5 years ago and was developed by ex-Microsoft employees. Specifically, the app was developed by former Microsoft engineer Dave Amenta and Microsoft MVP Rafael Rivera. Rivera joked in a tweet: “Microsoft is about to catch up with EarTrumpet.”
