Microsoft Windows 11, takes 30 minutes to successfully boot by 196MB RAM PC

Microsoft Windows 11 requires 4GB of RAM to run properly, however, one enthusiast has managed to boot Windows 11 on a computer with 196MB of RAM.

Twitter user @XenoPanther used a magically modified Windows 11 system, Tiny11, which cuts out some of the components of Windows 11, reduces the system footprint to less than 8GB, and lowers the memory requirement to just 2GB.

XenoPanther tried to boot Tiny11 with 196MB of RAM, and after 30 minutes of waiting and blue screens of death, the device successfully booted the system. After that, he opened Task Manager and waited another 15 minutes. As you can see, the memory footprint is over 99%.

This may not seem to work under these conditions, but it does further bring down the requirements for Windows 11 to run.

Tiny11 is “unmaintainable” after extreme streamlining, but users can still update updates to .NET, drivers and security definitions via Windows Update.

Microsoft Windows 11 officially requires 4GB of memory and 64GB of storage, and also requires TPM 2.0, here are the full requirements.
