Microsoft pushed out Build 22621.1192 (KB5022360) update for Windows 11 22H2 Release preview version users, bringing several detailed improvements.
Microsoft said it will make improvements to the Release Preview this month to reduce the number of reboots users encounter when upgrading. Starting this month, when users upgrade to Windows 11 22H2, they will get the optional January quality update (KB5022360). This means that when users upgrade to Windows 11 22H2, they will only need to reboot once.

- Changed the experience of previewing updates to the. After installing this update, all future preview (optional) .NET Framework updates will be displayed in Settings > Windows Update > Advanced Options” > “Optional Updates” page. On this page, users can control which optional updates to install.
- Fixed an issue affecting searchindexer.exe. The issue randomly prevented users from logging in or logging out.
- Fixed an issue that prevented users from searching for files based on their content.
- Fixed a resource conflict issue (called a deadlock) between two or more threads. This deadlock affected COM+ applications.
- Fixed an issue affecting conhost.exe that caused it to stop responding.
- Fixed an issue that could affect Domain Name System (DNS) suffix search lists. The parent domain may have been missing when configured.
- Fixed an issue that could occur when the Input Method Editor (IME) was active. The application may stop responding when the user uses the mouse and keyboard at the same time.
- Fixed an issue that could affect FindWindow () or FindWindowEx (), which could return the wrong window handle.
- Fixed an issue that could occur when converting or reconverting Japanese kanji using the Multi Byte Character Set (MBCS) application. The cursor may have moved to the wrong position when typing.
- Fixed an issue that could affect applications that use Microsoft Edge WebView2 to display content. Applications that use WebView2 include Microsoft Office and widget applications. Content could appear blank or grayed out.
- Fixed an issue that affected some systems with firmware Trusted Platform Modules (TPM). The issue prevented users from setting up these systems with AutoPilot.
- Fixed an issue affecting users using search to find image files on the taskbar that prevented users from opening these images.
- Fixed an issue affecting mstsc.exe that caused it to stop responding when connecting to RemoteApp and Desktop Connection.
- Resolved an issue affecting Group Policy for Expanded Toasts.
- Fixed an issue that caused Windows Server 2022 Domain Controllers (DCs) to stop responding, which could occur when processing Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) requests.
- Fixed an issue that affected Resilient File System (ReFS) MSba tags. The issue resulted in an unpaged pool leak.
- Fixed an issue affecting ReFS. The issue caused high unpaged pool usage, which depleted system memory.
- Fixed an issue that affected devices affected by Microsoft Exploit Protection Export Address Filtering (EAF). Certain applications would stop responding or not open, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Reader.
- Fixed an issue affecting certain gamepads. The computer may not go into sleep mode when the gamepad is connected to the computer.
