Microsoft has recently released a new Skype Insider beta, internal version number 8.95.76.207, which brings some new features.

The most notable feature is the addition of the new Bing to Skype, and if you are already a member of the new Bing Chat beta group, this new Skype Insider version will allow users to talk to the chatbot and also add it to group conversations.

Users of the Skype Android app will also get a new startup animation with this Insider release.

In addition, the Skype Insider release also provides new Skype-to-Skype call support for the Touch Bar on Mac devices. (Controls include mute/unmute, switch video, and end calls.)

Finally, this new Skype Insider release fixes some bugs.

  • If a user receives a pdf with a long name, it shows the Share button on the view of all platforms.
  • Crash when clicking “Translate” on Mac.
  • Accounts are “forgotten” regardless of what is clicked in the desktop logout dialog.
