Microsoft Releases Windows Server vNext Build 25357 Preview

0

After Microsoft released the Win11 update for the Canary channel today, it launched the Windows Server Build 25357 preview update again.

Microsoft, as usual, did not publish a full changelog, just a short blog post. This preview update is synchronized with the Win11 Canary channel version. The blog post does not mention improvements but only informs that there are known problems.

The known issues include:

This preview release has an issue where archiving event logs using the "wevetutil al" command crashes the Windows Event Log service and the archive operation fails. The service must be restarted by executing "Start-Service EventLog" from an administrative command line prompt.

The branding of the Server has not been updated and is still Windows Server 2022 in the preview. Additionally, Microsoft is referring to these editions as Windows Server vNext, not Windows Server 2022, which is already on the market.
