Netizen Kevin Okemwa recently opened Google Chrome, received “in Chrome to experience the new AI-driven Bing” notification, click on it will open a new version of the Bing page, and recommend that users install and use Bing extensions.
Note: Microsoft executives had announced in June this year that they would open Bing Chat access to non-Edge browsers such as Chrome, but there has been no mention of it since.
Okemwa said that after enabling the extension, Bing will be set as the default search engine, and open the Bing homepage, but it is not possible to enter the new version of Bing Chat interface, it will pop up: “Chat mode is only open to eligible Bing users”.
Users have reported that although Bing Chat is available in Chrome, it still doesn’t work in practice.
