The Xbox MVP (Xbox Most Valuable Professional) program has been used to recognize outstanding leaders in the Xbox gaming community. Citing foreign technology media, Windows Central reported that Microsoft plans to officially close the Xbox MVP program at the end of this year.

After the program closes, the Xbox Ambassador community will continue to perform related functions. Microsoft has invited some Xbox MVPs to become “Xbox Ambassador Community Champions”, hoping that they will play a more active role in the future of Xbox.

Xbox MVPs are nominated by the community and directly recognized by Xbox, and they can also participate in exclusive events, conversations, and programs to advise Microsoft on improving Xbox. Now, that program appears to be coming to an end.

According to Windows Central, Xbox is planning to shut down the entire Xbox MVP program on December 30, 2022, and the award will no longer be recognized after that date.

Currently active Xbox MVP members, including developers, moderators, streamers and creators, will still be able to enjoy Xbox MVP status. Additionally, Xbox presents a new avenue by which these MVPs can continue to contribute to Xbox, the community, and how we play the Xbox games we love.
