Microsoft launches Surface self-service repair in the U.S., Canada and France

According to the latest official blog post released by Microsoft, it announced that in the United States, Canada and France, the self-service repair service will be expanded for Surface Pro 7/8/9, Surface Laptop 3 and other models. Users can Purchase parts by yourself for replacement and maintenance.

Microsoft has also opened a dedicated Surface replaceable parts page in the Microsoft Store, mainly to provide self-service repairs for users who are no longer under warranty.

Microsoft also officially provides related maintenance guides, which users can download and read, and repair themselves according to the guides. Note, Microsoft officially only provides parts, and users also need to purchase related maintenance tools through iFixit and other channels.

Microsoft said in a blog post that the service is currently limited to the United States, Canada, and France, and will expand to more countries and regions in the future.
