After releasing Android 12L for the Surface Duo and Surface Duo 2 last month, Microsoft is offering a monthly update for both phones for November. The update doesn’t introduce many new features, except that the carrier’s AT&T version of the first-generation Surface Duo can be upgraded from Android 11 to Android 12L.
Microsoft says this November monthly update summary fixes the issues outlined by Google in the November 2022 Android Security Bulletin but does not provide a full changelog.
But outside of installing this monthly update summary, the carrier AT&T version of the first-generation Surface Duo can be upgraded from Android 11 to Android 12L. Upgrading to Android 12L allows you to experience many of the changes that Microsoft has brought, with some user interfaces inspired by the Win11 platform.
