According to reports from foreign technology media Windows Central, Microsoft Surface Duo 2 phones have been discontinued. The media then consulted Microsoft on the matter, and the official spokesperson responded that there is currently no content to share.
Note: Discontinuation of production does not mean discontinuation of support. Microsoft plans to continue pushing monthly security updates to existing Surface Duo 2 users until October 2024.
And more importantly, whether the Surface Duo 2 phone can be upgraded to the Android 13 system in the future.
The last Android version update the Surface Duo 2 received was in October 2022, when Microsoft upgraded it to Android 12L.
Former Microsoft employee Thai Nguyen has successfully upgraded the original Surface Duo to Android 13 after a long period of development. It can run smoothly, but it is not perfect.
