0

Starting from the optional update KB5023778 released at the end of March this year, Microsoft has implanted “Microsoft account notifications” in the start menu of some Win11 devices. According to foreign technology media gizmochina and pureinfotech reports, Microsoft has expanded the scope of testing and implanted more promotional content.

Microsoft has currently implanted 4 types of notifications, and the attached content as follows:

Sign in to your Microsoft account -- log in to your Microsoft account

Use Microsoft 365 for free -- Try Microsoft 365 for free

Keep your account safer -- improve account security

Access your files from anywhere -- access your files anytime, anywhere

Through these notifications, Microsoft recommends local users to log in to their Microsoft accounts to attract users to use services such as OneDrive and Microsoft 365.

Users can currently turn off these recommendations, open the Settings app, visit the “Start” menu, and uncheck “Show account-related notifications”.
