Microsoft Bing Chat integrated Excel to quickly edit data

Microsoft’s Bing chatbot has more and more functions. Recently, the tool has also been seamlessly integrated with Excel, which can improve users’ work efficiency.

When a Bing Chat answer contains a table of data, users will see an “Edit in Excel” button in the first row of the table. Clicking this button will export the data to the OneDrive document folder and open the Microsoft Excel web client, allowing users to edit the data.

Bing Chat’s Excel integration works not only on Microsoft Edge, but also on browsers like Apple Safari. In addition, users need to log in to a Microsoft account in the web browser using Bing Chat to successfully use this feature. If you are not logged in to a Microsoft account, you will be asked to log in when you try to open a data table in Excel web version.

In addition to convenient Excel integration, Microsoft is also testing a “rewrite” button in Bing chat to allow users to edit their prompts. When the prompt word is edited, Bing Chat will regenerate the answer accordingly. Not only can the last prompt word be edited, but all previous prompt words in the chat history can be edited. It’s worth noting that the chat history feature is currently only available in the Microsoft Edge browser.
