Microsoft admits Windows 11 issue: Unable to sign in after adding Microsoft account

0

Microsoft has admitted to a strange problem that recently appeared on the stable version of Windows 11: some users were unable to sign in after adding a new Microsoft account to that system. The company has shared details about the bug and explained how to fix it on the official Windows Health Dashboard website.

According to Microsoft, users are briefly locked out after the first reboot or logout. The issue occurs only once on devices with Microsoft accounts and is relatively short-lived. active Directory domain users and Azure Active Directory accounts are not affected by this issue. In addition, it only occurs on systems running Windows 11 21H2 client versions.

If you are having problems logging in to your account while using Windows 11 21H2, then no action is required to resolve the issue. The operating system will let the user login after a few minutes, and Microsoft solves the problem using the Known Issues Rollback system. The latter automatically undoes the problematic changes without requiring any action from the end user.
