According to foreign technology media 9to5Google, tipster Kuba Wojciechowski shared the latest screenshots about the Meta second-generation smartwatch. From the rendering, its appearance is not much different from the initial generation.

Meta may be working on a smartwatch internally to further improve the metaverse hardware ecosystem. From the information we have so far, the watch will be powered by Qualcomm’s SoC chip and the system will be based on Android adaptation instead of WearOS.

Most of Meta’s existing hardware is based on Android, such as the Meta Quest series of headset devices, which are based on Android.

The new Meta smartwatch has a detachable frame design, which means it can be removed from the wrist if worn by the user, the watch is equipped with two cameras, with a low-resolution camera on the front and a somewhat higher resolution camera on the bottom.

In the new photos provided to Wojciechowski by an anonymous source, we see that the overall form factor remains relatively unchanged, but the sensor at the bottom has been tweaked. On the front, the images show a new dial with a simple blue design and a red second hand.
