Mercedes Maybach EQS EV SUV will debut on Shanghai Auto Show on April 17

According to eCar, Mercedes-Maybach’s first mass-produced pure electric model, the Maybach EQS pure electric SUV, will make its global debut at the Shanghai Auto Show on April 17th. Based on the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV, the new vehicle is designed for the luxury large SUV market and is expected to have more luxurious features and stronger performance.

Inside, the Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV is expected to adopt a similar manufacturing concept to the concept car, with more luxurious materials and craftsmanship, a 2+2 seating layout, standard MBUX hyperlink screen, front and rear premium executive seats with the same origin as the Maybach S-Class sedan, rear legroom expansion kit and other designs.

In terms of power, the Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV is expected to be equipped with a dual-motor four-wheel drive system, with an expected combined maximum power of more than 385 kW, peak torque of more than 828 Nm and a maximum range of 600 km. The Mercedes-Benz EQS is based on the EVA pure electric platform and is positioned as a large pure electric SUV. 450+ and 450 4MATIC powertrains will be available, of which 450+ is a rear-mounted single-motor rear-wheel drive with a maximum power of 265 kW (360 hp) and a maximum torque of 568 Nm; 450 4MATIC is a dual-motor four-wheel drive with a maximum power of 265 kW (360 hp) and a maximum torque of 568 Nm. Both powertrains are powered by a 111.8kWh ternary lithium battery pack with a maximum range of 742km under CLTC conditions.
