It is reported that Mercedes-Benz is integrating ChatGPT through the Azure OpenAI service, taking advantage of the enterprise-level capabilities of Microsoft’s cloud and artificial intelligence platform.

Jörg Burzer, Member of the Management Board of Mercedes-Benz Group AG responsible for Production and Supply Chain Management: “This is how digitization is enabling production at Mercedes-Benz through the use of ChatGPT by Microsoft as part of the MO360 digital ecosystem. Another example of becoming more efficient. With new digital tools, employees are able to further optimize production processes and quality management in a sustainable manner. After a successful pilot phase, ChatGPT will be available throughout the entire Mercedes-Benz global production network used in.”

According to Mercedes-Benz, automated analysis tools can realize the intelligent networking of quality data from development, customer experience and production, and can identify and analyze potential failures as soon as possible. ChatGPT can also support Mercedes-Benz quality engineers to identify faults by clustering data. For example, with the help of ChatGPT, employees can significantly simplify the complex evaluation and presentation of production-related data and quality management.

It was previously reported that Mercedes-Benz has started a test program on June 16, and American drivers will be able to use the ChatGPT chatbot in some luxury models. The company said that ChatGPT is compatible with about 900,000 cars equipped with the MBUX intelligent human-computer interaction system. Owners can opt-in to the test program through the Mercedes app or voice commands and download the ChatGPT function wirelessly. The test will last three months, during which time Mercedes will see how owners use the technology.
