MediaTek announced that its revenue in September reached NT$36.078 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 36.23%.

MediaTek’s cumulative revenue in the first three quarters of this year reached NT$303.884 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 31.03%.

According to previous reports, MediaTek CEO Cai Lixing predicts that the company’s revenue in the third quarter is expected to return to the NT$100 billion mark, reaching NT$102.1 billion-108.9 billion, a quarter-on-quarter growth of 4%-11%. Judging from current data, MediaTek’s third-quarter revenue exceeded NT$110 billion, exceeding expected figures.

Cai Lixing said that in the second quarter, both revenue and gross profit margin reached the midpoint of the company’s target, and the performance of the three major product lines, including mobile phones, smart devices and power management chips, grew simultaneously.

Regarding the third quarter results, Cai Lixing pointed out that the revenue performance of smartphones, networking chips and power management chips is expected to improve, which will slow down the impact of the decline of smart TVs and other consumer products. In the market cycle, MediaTek will continue to strike a balance between market share, revenue and profitability.

MediaTek recently announced that the development of its first Dimensity flagship chip produced using TSMC’s 3nm process is progressing very smoothly. It has been successfully tape-out and is expected to be mass-produced next year.
