A person from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology expressed the hope that MediaTek will give full play to its own advantages and actively participate in the process of high-end, smart, and green manufacturing. Cai Mingjie responded that MediaTek will continue to deepen the mainland market, promote industrial cooperation, and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.

It is noticed that Cai Mingjie said in March that the mainland semiconductor industry’s active development of mature process chips has had an impact on Taiwanese semiconductor manufacturers.

At the shareholder meeting held at the end of last month, Cai Mingjie admitted frankly that the company’s phone chip demand was weak due to the impact of the market, and it is expected that the phone-related business will resume growth next year.
