Foreign technology media 9to5Mac by digging deep into the iOS 16.4 RC version of the system code, found a yet to be released “Beats Studio Buds +”earphones.

By digging into the system code, the media found that the “Beats Studio Buds+” earphones, like the Beats Studio Buds released in 2021, have active noise cancellation and pass-through mode.

The media found that the earphones support features such as Hey Siri from the code, and initially the media thought they would use the W1 / H1 chips that are exclusive to Apple’s AirPods, but subsequent communication with the source indicated that the new Beats Studio Buds+ will still use the custom Beats chips instead of Apple’s H1 / H2.

One of the features missing from the Beats Studio Buds compared to the AirPods is in-ear detection. This means that Beats Studio Buds will not automatically play and pause content when you take them out or put them in your ears.

Beats Studio Buds also don’t support automatic device switching and won’t sync your paired devices in iCloud, so you’ll need to connect them manually on each new device.
