Marvel Avengers patch 2.8 opens up premium accessories to players for free

Game developer Crystal Dynamics recently released a version 2.8 update for the game Marvel Avengers, announcing the official removal of the in-game store, and opening to all players premium accessories.

Crystal said in patch 2.8 will provide players with several all MCU and non- MCU inspired costumes, emotes, Takedowns and Nameplates” for free. However, items unlocked through campaign missions or already belonging to free cosmetic suppliers will remain locked and players will need to go through the normal process to obtain them.

The update also removes the Hero Challenge Cards and the Shipments system, and the remaining Premium Currency Credits in the player’s account have been converted to in-game resources.

Points will be discontinued as of March 31, 2023.

Starting March 31, 2023, the Marvel Avengers store will cease operations and all unspent credits will be converted to in-game resources.
