Liu Tao said in his answer that plug-in hybrids are a “special demand” in China. Personally, I judge that there are still good opportunities for range extension and plug-in hybrids within 3-5 years, especially range extension. It is currently planning market opportunities and technical routes for medium and large-sized MPVs and SUVs, but “not much can be disclosed due to time constraints.”
When talking about the IM AD intelligent assisted driving system that is standard on all series, Liu Tao said that he took into account the needs of blind ordering users for assisted driving and decided to make it standard after comprehensive consideration. “We believe that we are a high-end brand, and AD standard equipment is necessary. This is also one of the key differences between current high-end and low-end models.” In other respects, Liu Tao revealed that the top speed of the mass-produced LS6 model will be limited to 252km/h, although it “can achieve a top speed of more than 300km/h.”
It was previously reported that during the Shanghai Auto Show in the first half of this year, Liu Tao, co-CEO of Luxeed Auto, was interviewed and talked about the company’s delivery goals, user portraits, and future product planning. He said that this year’s sales target is 45,000 units, and models will be launched to compete with Tesla’s Model Y and Model 3, which are an urban crossover SUV and a sedan respectively. They are expected to be launched in the second half of this year and the first half of 2024. Released, the latter’s smart cockpit will use a Qualcomm 8295 chip. So far, the “urban crossover SUV” has been unveiled, and the sedan will have to wait a few months.
