Lionsgate considers 3A game adaptation for the Fast and Furious film series

Hollywood giant Lionsgate has revealed that it is discussing a “major AAA game” based on the “John Wick” movie IP.

The “Fast and Furious” series is a trilogy of action movies launched in 2014, starring Keanu Reeves as a retired hitman who reappears for revenge, with the fourth installment set for release in March 2023.

In a recent earnings call with investors, Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer claimed that executives are looking to expand the success of the “Fast and Furious” franchise with a major video game project and that they are already “making proposals”.

The “Fast and Furious” series has previously been adapted into a strategy game called “Fast and Furious Hex”, which focuses more on thinking about the enemy line than the action selling point of the movie, and is clearly not the “big AAA game” that Lionsgate executives are talking about.
