Li Auto: next version of Pro and Max models will have a sporty suspension model

0

Li Auto has revealed in a post that the next version of the Pro and Max models will have a sportier suspension mode.

Li Auto said, “The Pro and Max suspensions will have lower smoothness weights when adjusted to this mode, sacrificing some smoothness, but the transient body roll support will be very good.”

Li Auto believes that the current version of the Air’s Sport mode has “better lateral support” than the Pro and Max, especially during small steering movements, and that the Air’s body has “less change in roll. In addition, the same Air model, Li L7 and Li L8 suspension sport mode will also be different, the latter will be “more comfortable”.

The Air version of the suspension system is the “CDC continuously variable damping system”, while the Pro and Max versions are the “Li Magic Carpet Air Suspension”.

Li Magic Carpet Air Suspension currently supports automatic height adjustment with speed, easy loading and unloading, easy trunk loading, special road modes (off-road extrication, slippery road, steep hill descent), etc. It is equipped with CDC continuously variable damping damper with “millisecond response capability” and “60,000 senses per minute and 60,000 senses per minute”. 60,000 times per minute sensing and 6,000 times active adjustment”.

What is the difference between the Air, Pro and Max models with the same suspension comfort sport mode?
Under the current version, the Air's sport mode will have better lateral support than the Pro and Max, especially during small steering, the change of the Air body roll will be smaller.

Here's the official preview of the Pro and Max: we'll be introducing a sportier suspension mode in the next version!
The Pro and Max suspensions are adjusted to this mode with lower smoothness weighting, sacrificing some smoothness, but the transient body roll support will be very good.

The same Air model, will there be a difference between the suspension sport mode of the Li L7 and the Li L8?
The Li L8 is a bit more comfortable. We made a distinction between the six-seater and five-seater scenarios, and the Li L8 is more comfortable, because it is a six-seater model that focuses on comfort, so the Li L8 was not calibrated to be as sporty as the Li L7.

Does a stiffer suspension mean sportier and "better driving"?
Many people think that stiffer means sportier, higher limits, and more fun to drive. We don't think this is a concept.

We believe that a car is sportier because it gives the driver a sense of security. To use an analogy, in the case of an Li car model, we would first give it a slight understeer to create a sense of safety for the driver in case of emergency avoidance. At that point, if the driver holds the steering, the system will clarify your driving intentions and if you need crossover gain, we will let the crossover gain out through the ESP system.

We believe that a car is "good to drive" when it is relaxing, not tense. The most relaxing models of RISO are those with the RISO Magic Carpet Air Suspension™, which is particularly comfortable. The original intention of our development is to create a very strong sense of driving safety for our customers, so that they can drive with ease.

Safety, comfort and relaxation are what we want to convey as the concept of "good driving".
