LG Tone Free T90 Wireless Headphones Released with Dolby Head Tracking Spatial Audio

LG launched two wireless Bluetooth headset, respectively Tone Free T90 and Tone Free Fit (TF8).

LG Tone Free T90 has the iconic sterilized UVnano charging case, which, like the previous Tone Free FP9, can also be used as a Bluetooth transmitter, allowing users to connect it to devices that lack a wireless connection (such as a treadmill) and then use the headset.

The LG Tone Free T90 claims to have “a new internal structure and larger drivers that help produce deeper, more satisfying bass.” In addition, the headset supports Dolby Head Tracking spatial audio capabilities “across content and devices” as well as ANC active noise cancellation.

Dolby Head Tracking recalibrates the sound as the user moves their head for a more natural sounding experience. Whether listening to music, watching a movie, enjoying a favorite streaming series or playing a video game, listeners will feel like they are at the center of the scene and experience a new level of audio immersion.

LG claims that “T90 is the first wireless headset to feature Dolby’s audio virtualizer designed specifically for earbuds” to enhance the immersion and dimension of sound. In addition, the headphones have up to 9 hours of battery life (with adaptive active noise cancellation turned off) and up to 18 hours with the charging case.

The second headset, Tone Free Fit (TF8), is built for the fitness crowd. Like other workout-focused headphones, the LG Tone Free Fit (TF8) has soft silicone fins to ensure the headphones don’t fall off, even during strenuous exercise. In addition, the headphones have an IPX7 water resistance rating, which is stronger than the IPX4 in the T90, and support hybrid active noise cancellation. Battery life is also slightly longer, with up to 10 hours of continuous playback.

LG has not announced the price of the two headphones, but it has been confirmed that they will be available in the global market at the end of August.
