For those who prefer an extra-large monitor, LG’s latest 49WQ95C-W could be worth considering. The monitor features a 49-inch curved QHD Nano IPS screen with a 144 Hz refresh rate, and is part of the UltraWide series, not the UltraGear series, which is designed for gamers, but it’s a good performer for gaming as well.

The monitor supports AMD’s FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA’s G-Sync, although it does not offer a dynamic refresh rate, which is maintained at 144Hz. Stabilizer and crosshair functions.

The monitor features a 32:9 aspect ratio, meets 98% of the DCI-P3 standard, has a contrast ratio of 1000:1 and a regular brightness of 400 cd/m². The display panel is DisplayHDR 400 compliant, and LG says the 49WQ95C-W undergoes rigorous factory color calibration.

In terms of connectivity, the monitor offers two HDMI 2.0 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4 port, and a USB-C port that supports 90W fast charging. For some strange reason, LG only added one USB 2.0 Type-B port, and two USB Type-A 3.0 downstream ports. The display offers a headphone port and a pair of 10W built-in speakers. The stand can be adjusted for height, tilt and swivel.

LG has not officially announced a launch date or price information for the monitor.
