LG IPS Black display panel plan revealed: 27-inch 5K and 2K versions in the future

LG Display has produced 27-inch, 32-inch and 34-inch IPS Black display panels, which have improved the contrast ratio to 2000:1 and have deeper black color. According to TFT central, LG Display has several more IPS Black display panels in the planning stage.

The 49-inch 5120 x 1440 IPS Black panel with 32:9 ratio, 3800R curvature, 98% DCI-P3 color gamut and 350 nits brightness is expected to go into production later this year.

37.5-inch 3840 x 1600 IPS Black panel with 24:10 aspect ratio, 2300R curvature, 98% DCI-P3 color gamut and 300 nits brightness, expected to go into production in the first half of this year.

27-inch 5120 x 2880 IPS Black panel with Mini LED backlighting, 1560 dimming zones, HDR1000 support, 98% DCI-P3 color gamut, production expected in the first half of 2024.

27-inch 2560 x 1440 IPS Black panel with a more affordable price point, production expected in Q4 of this year.

Currently, LG, Dell, HP, AOC, and many other manufacturers have monitors with IPS Black panels on their shelves. The LG 27UQ850 monitor, for example, features an improved contrast ratio of 2,000:1, a 27-inch 4K 60Hz specification, a DCI-P3 color gamut of up to 98% and DisplayHDR 400 certified brightness. Officially, the Nano IPS Black monitor with a contrast ratio of 2,000:1 supports more accurate black rendering and helps refine more color details.
