LG Display begins mass production of 17-inch laptop OLED foldable screen

LG Display announced that it has begun mass production of a 17-inch 2560×1920 foldable OLED laptop display.

According to reports, the panel uses LG Display’s unique technology – tandem OLED structure. This technology was previously applied to vehicle OLEDs and is now extended to IT products, aiming to extend the service life of the product and make it more suitable for the use of notebook computers. .

LG Display said the product will be integrated into the HP Specter, a foldable laptop that HP recently showed off.

HP Specter is a 17-inch model with a 2560×1920 foldable OLED panel, equipped with an Intel 12th generation Core i7-1250U processor, Iris Xe graphics card, 16GB of memory, 1TB SSD storage, and a battery life of up to 12 hours. According to known information, the starting price of this computer is US$4,999 (currently about RMB 36,543).
