LG Display has reportedly been strengthening its domestic manufacturing ecosystem to produce more advanced OLED displays, with the proportion of locally sourced materials rising to 64% from 58% the previous year. Yoon Soo-young, CTO and vice president of LG Display, said, “Since the release of the world’s first 55-inch OLED TV panel in 2013, we have been committed to developing core materials in-house utilizing our accumulated expertise.”
