Lexar NM790 PCIe 4.0 SSD launched with up to 4TB, can be used for PS5 expansion

At the IFA 2023 Consumer Electronics Show in Berlin, Germany, in September this year, Lexar announced a Lexar NM790 M.2 2280 PCIe Gen4x4 NVMe solid-state drive, which is known as the “PS5 expansion artifact.”

Recently, this SSD has been launched overseas and is compatible with PlayStation 5 and desktop and laptop computers.

 The recommended retail price for 1TB capacity is US$79.99, and the promotional price is US$71.99.

 2TB has a suggested retail price of $149.99 and a promotional price of $134.99.

 The 4TB model has a suggested retail price of $229.99 and a promotional price of $206.99.

According to reports, the Lexar NM790 vest version provides capacity versions from 1TB to 4TB, supports a reading speed of 7400MB/s, a writing speed of 6500MB/s, and is also equipped with HMB 3.0 and SLC dynamic cache technology.

The hard drive is equipped with a heat dissipation vest to help dissipate heat and control temperature to ensure continued performance. In terms of compatibility, the NM790 can be used on desktop computers and is also compatible with the PlayStation 5 game console, which can be used for expansion.
