Some current high-end monitors are equipped with a full-featured USB-C or Thunderbolt 4 interface that provides 90W or 100W of reverse power capability, allowing for one-line connectivity to thin and light notebooks. Now, Lenovo has released a new ThinkVision P Series Mini LED monitor, which is the first to feature a USB4 interface that supports PD 3.1 protocol, increasing the power supply capacity to 140W.

The monitor’s USB4 interface supports video transmission, data transmission, and reverse power up to 140W. With 140W output power, the new generation of USB-C PD 3.1-powered solo thin and light notebooks should also be able to run at full speed with one cable connected, eliminating the need for a separate power adapter and allowing for neater desktop space.

In terms of parameters, the next-generation ThinkVision P Series high-end monitors feature 27-inch or 31.5-inch Mini LED screens with 1152-segment backlighting, 3840 x 2160 resolution, 1200 nits peak brightness, DisplayHDR1000 certification, and coverage of 98% of the DCI-P3 color gamut.

Both displays will be available in August 2023 for $1,699 (currently about RMB 11,859) and $1,999 (currently about RMB 13,953), respectively.
