According to Lenovo’s testing, the 2023 Savior R9000P, Y9000P Premium and the yet-to-be-launched Y9000X all support the newly launched single 48GB DDR5 memory.

The SK Hynix memory used in the test was described as 48GB DDR5-5600, but the Savior notebooks currently support up to DDR5-5200 (at 96GB capacity).

The three notebooks tested were equipped with R9 7945HX, i9-13900H and i9-13900HX processors, the first two of which support DDR5-5200 memory by default, while the latter is supported up to DDR5-5600 by default.

New notebook memory from SK Hynix is already available on e-commerce platforms, with a single 48GB DDR5-5600 and a single 24GB DDR5-5600 available for RMB 1,180 and 600 respectively. For most notebooks with only two memory slots, 96GB can be achieved with the latest memory plugged in, compared to the original maximum of 64GB.
