Lenovo launches IdeaPad 5i Chromebook: 12th Gen Core and 120Hz display

Lenovo has unveiled a new Chromebook, the 16-inch ThinkPad X1 Fold, two new Android tablets, and a range of new displays at the International Consumer Electronics Fair (IFA) in Berlin.

The new IdeaPad 5i Chromebook is Lenovo’s first 16-inch Chromebook with a 120Hz display, accompanied by the second-generation Tab P11 Pro and Lenovo Tab P11, which are slightly improved over their predecessors.

The Berlin International Consumer Electronics Fair is one of the largest industrial fairs in Germany and one of the largest current electronics fairs in Germany, originating in 1924.

For most people, the IdeaPad 5i Chromebook will be the highlight of this Lenovo launch, which is also an important addition to the Lenovo Chromebook series, as it is the first 16-inch Chromebook with a decent configuration, but no official launch date has been announced yet, and it sells for 549 euros (about 3793.59 yuan) in Europe.

The IdeaPad 5i Chromebook features an Intel Core i3-1215U or Pentium 8505 CPU, 4GB or 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, and a 2.5K resolution 120Hz refresh rate 350 nits brightness LCD display, which is unusual for Chromebooks, so it’s extra special. The Chromebook also features an FHD camera, MaxxAudio dual speakers, weighs 4.1 pounds (about 1861.4 grams), is about 0.8 inches (about 20.32 mm) thick, delivers up to 12 hours of battery life, and offers two USB-A Type-C ports, two USB 3.2 Type-A ports, a headphone jack, and a MicroSD card slot, and Wi-Fi 6E support.
