Reportedly, Hideo Kojima is leading the development of a horror game named Overdose, starring Margaret Qualley.
According to an industry insider named Tom Henderson of Try Hard Guides, the Metal Gear Solid and Drath Standing famed Hideo Kojima is currently steering the development of an IP in the horror genre. The leaker actually claims that he has seen the footage of the game starring Margaret Qualley, who previously played Mama in Kojima directed Death Stranding. However, this new horror IP is not related to Kojima’s last release in any way.
Leaker Tom Henderson also states that in the game footage, Qualley can be seen in a blue dress. She was walking through dark corridors while equipped only with a flashlight. This can all be seen from the third-person perspective. But the first-person option is available too. The footage ends with a jump scare and it shows GAMEOVER followed by…A Hideo Kojima Game…OVERDOSE.
At the moment, there’s no news on the reveal date of the game. But the Summer Game Fest Live is not too far away. So, it can be expected that the game with be revealed there. There’s also a rumor that Kojima is developing a title exclusively for Xbox consoles to utilize cloud technology. So, Overdose could be the said Xbox exclusive game that won’t be released on PS4 or PS5 consoles. It is also more or less confirmed that Kojima is going to make the Death Stranding 2 as Norman Reedus let it slip in an interview. As a tipster, Tom Henderson has a somewhat good track record.
