Recently, we learned from the official that the Kia EV5 long-range version will be officially launched in March. Compared with the 530km standard range version on sale, the CLTC range of the long-range version has been increased to 720km. In terms of power, it is expected to still be equipped with a 218-horsepower front single motor.

Looking back at the standard range version, the Kia EV5 continues the design of the concept version in terms of styling, adopting Kia’s new design concept of “Opposites United”. Details such as the unique headlights have been continued, making it highly recognizable. . The front surround of the new car is equipped with trapezoidal vents and is equipped with silver guards. The bold, avant-garde, square and tough shape is quite individual.

The side lines of the new car’s body are very straight, and the slightly protruding front and rear fenders are visually quite muscular. At the rear, the new car uses through-type taillights with a simple and recognizable shape, similar in style to the headlights. In addition, in order to echo the front enclosure design, the rear enclosure of the new car is also equipped with a relatively hard-core rear enclosure “armor” design. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4615/1875/1715mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2750mm.

It is equipped with Kia’s latest generation ccNC vehicle infotainment system and supports OTA upgrade of the entire vehicle. At the same time, the center console retains certain physical buttons. Their location and size appear to be more practical, and the convenience of daily operation is still slightly better than the screen.

In terms of power, all new cars are equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous drive motor with a maximum power of 218 horsepower and a peak torque of 310 Nm. In terms of battery, it is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery pack with a capacity of 64.2kWh and a CLTC cruising range of 530 kilometers.
