“Blue Origin”, the commercial space company owned by billionaire Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, announced the design of the “Blue Moon” lunar lander. Designed and presented the lander model to NASA Administrator Bill Nelson at the engine production plant in Alabama, USA.

According to reports, what is on display this time is the “Blue Moon” Mark 1, a single-launch lunar cargo lander that can transport up to 3 tons of cargo anywhere on the lunar surface, and can stay on the lunar surface, providing “Safe, reliable and affordable” access to the lunar environment.

Blue Origin said that “Blue Moon” will be ready to fly to the moon in the next three years and is expected to launch a manned lunar mission by the end of this decade. The lander for this mission will be the “Blue Moon” Mark 2 type.

It was previously reported that on May 20 this year, NASA announced that Blue Origin had won a US$3.4 billion contract from the agency, which will build an on-duty lunar lander.
