Anticipation is building for the imminent launch of two new smartphones from iQOO, the iQOO Z8 and iQOO Z8x, set to hit the Chinese market by early September. A reliable Chinese tipster has leaked key specifications that shed light on what these devices might offer.

iQOO Z8

Starting with the iQOO Z8, it is expected to sport a 6.64-inch LCD direct screen, offering a 1080p resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Powered by the Dimensity 8200 chipset, the phone is likely to come paired with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage.

The charging capabilities of the iQOO Z8 are set to impress, with a 120W fast charging feature catering to a substantial 5,000mAh battery. The Z8 will have a 16-megapixel front camera for taking selfies, and a 64-megapixel main lens and a 2-megapixel depth of field sensor will be in the rear setup.

The device will also include a 3.5mm headphone jack, an X-axis motor for enhanced tactile feedback, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

iQOO Z8x

On the other hand, the iQOO Z8x follows a similar path with its 6.64-inch LCD direct screen offering a 1080p resolution and the same 120Hz refresh rate. Running on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, this model is likely to pack 12GB of RAM.

Like the iQOO Z7x, the Z8x will feature a 6,000mAh battery. However, instead of inheriting 80W charging, the device is said to support only 44W charging. On the front, the Z8x will have an 8-megapixel selfie snapper, while the rear setup will consist of a 50-megapixel main lens and a 2-megapixel depth of field sensor. Much like its counterpart, the iQOO Z8x will also incorporate a 3.5mm headphone jack and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

It appears that the iQOO Z8 series will be mainly aimed at the online market. The Z8 is expected to compete with rivals like the Redmi Note 12T Pro.
