Apple shares experience of typing with virtual keyboard in Vision Pro headset: special design, provides spatial sound
Apple released the first developer beta update for iOS / iPadOS 17 after the WWDC developer conference held early yesterday morning. In addition to the many functions and features officially previewed, there are quite a few hidden in the system.

Calling Apple Watch
Once your iPhone and Apple Watch are configured, Apple has introduced an additional option in Control Center to call your Apple Watch.
Improvements to Spotlight Siri Suggestions
When users pull down the Home screen to access Search, they’ll see contextual content added to Siri Suggestions, such as recommendations for creating a timer or new notes based on the apps you’ve used recently.
When you search for a specific app (like Photos), you’ll also get a shortcut to the app you’re next in line for, for example, allowing you to jump directly to a Favorites album.
Siri Suggestions can directly enable/disable certain system settings, such as Focus Mode, Flight Mode, and “Resting Screen”.
Multiple countdowns
Users can set different labels for different countdowns to make it easier to distinguish them. For convenience, this list will also include any recently completed timers that you use. When multiple timers are running at the same time, all timers will be listed on the lock screen and the most recent one you set will appear on the Lingering Island.
Safari “Listen to Page” feature.
In Safari, the aA button on the address bar adds “Listen to Page,” a feature that allows Siri to read aloud the contents of the currently loaded web page when the user clicks it.
Recipe optimization:
Apple has enhanced Visual Look Up in several ways when viewing photos, most notably by finding recipes for similar dishes when a meal is identified in the picture.
Fitness+ Custom Plans
Fitness+ includes a new feature called Custom Plans, where you can create your own weekly workout and meditation plans to boost your motivation.
Planning options include the ability to set a total workout/meditation time per day, set the length of the plan, and choose the type of activity. You can also choose a preferred Fitness+ coach and the type of music you want.
