Intel’s upcoming workstation-class Arc Pro graphics cards Pro A40 and Pro A50 have been spotted by Momomo_US in the SiSoftware database. The Intel Arc Pro A40 desktop graphics card was recently spotted within the RAA (Korean National Radio Research Agency), and we also managed to find some mobile platform variants. The series is designated with the “Pro” label as they are aimed at desktop and notebook workstation platforms.
According to the details provided by SiSoftware, the Intel Arc Pro A50 and Arc Pro A40 are actually based on the same chip, as they have the same specifications. These specifications include the full Arc ACM-G11 GPU, based on the Alchemist Xe-HPG architecture, with 128 execution units, or a total of 1024 cores. The core clock is rated at 2.45GHz, the GPU has 1MB of l2 cache, a VRAM configuration of 6GB of GDDR6, and a 96-bit bus interface, the same specifications as Intel’s recently announced Arc A380 graphics card.
The Intel A380 graphics card is officially listed at 2000 MHz clock speed but can be boosted to 2450 MHz with a TBP of 92 W. It looks like the Pro version will utilize the full TBP. As for performance, the card is comparable to the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6 GB in terms of GP (GPU) processing metrics. We know that Intel doesn’t have drivers ready for the Arc GPU lineup yet, so this performance figure is expected to improve as their drivers mature.
There is no information yet about the market availability of these cards, but considering that the A380 is already available in China, the Arc Pro A50 and Pro A40 cards could be launched in the coming months, as the workstation version is said to be launched in the third quarter.
