Intel responds to Sapphire Rapids mass production delay: batch SKU has product release conditions

According to the Science and Technology Board Daily, Intel responded to the “Sapphire Rapids mass production delay” that the Sapphire Rapids batch SKU is ready for product release and all SKU sales are expected to be strong.

According to a report released by TrendForce on November 1, the mass production schedule of the new Sapphire Rapids has been postponed due to Intel’s poor 7nm yield, and the current production yield of Sapphire Rapids is expected to be only 50%-60%. The mass production schedule was postponed from the fourth quarter of this year to the first half of 2023.

The Sapphire Rapids will be officially released on January 11 2023, Intel confirmed. The Sapphire Rapids will support PCIe Gen5 and DDR5 technology.
