Intel today on the “12 generations Core processor price reduction” rumor response, said the rumors about Intel PC processor price reduction are not true.

Intel said that for each price segment, it currently has 11th, 12th, and 13th generation Core product families for users to choose from, and Intel is working with OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) to find new market opportunities and new demand to reduce inventory.

This comes on the heels of news that Intel is negotiating with select PC suppliers to reduce the price of 12th-generation Core (Alder Lake) processors by up to 20 percent.

Intel’s fourth-quarter 2022 revenue was $14 billion (currently about RMB 94.36 billion), down 32 percent year-over-year, and its net loss was nearly $700 million (currently about RMB 4.718 billion), compared with a net profit of $4.6 billion (currently about RMB 31.004 billion) a year earlier, according to financial data.
