Intel Raptor Lake 13th Generation processors boast of a 6GHz peak frequency

The Intel Raptor Lake 13th Generation processor is the chipmakers coming processor, and it makes some big claims. One of which is its peak frequency, which is to clock at 6GHz, making it the fastest desktop processor. Another big claim on the new Raptor chip relates to its CPU, which is getting a reading of 8GHz in overclocking.

This processor will soon launch and go into use on various laptops and desktop computers, hence bringing it into circulation. Already the competition in the laptop chip market is intense, the new Raptor processor might help raise the bar for performance. The likes of AMD with the Ryzen 7000 Zen 4 processor are already setting the pace for Intel and the rest to catch up.

When it comes to the peak frequency, the new Intel Raptor Lake 13th Generation beats the AMD’s Ryzen 7000 Zen 4 processor. At its peak, the Ryzen 7000 Zen 4 offers a frequency of 5.7GHz, while the new Raptor processor clocks 6GHz. This new figure gives Intel the upper hand in the race for a better flagship processor.

The full specifications of this processor are not yet available, as Intel is yet to make this known to the public. The coming Intel Raptor Lake 13th generation will launch with different builds or configurations. Its highest configuration will hold the 6GHz peak frequency, while the others will settle below this point.

The launch date of this new generation of processors from Intel is still unknown. But the company might make this date available during their Intel Innovation event, which will start on September 27. But this processor will launch before the start of 2023 and go into use on flagship laptops and desktops.
