Super power network has been a suspected i9-13900 Intel ES version of the processor open cover, measured its chip die size of 257 mm², larger than the 12th generation Core 49mm².

Back in June, Twitter user @wnxod posted a CPU-Z screenshot of the 13th generation Core 65W processor i9-13900.

As the image above shows, this i9-13900 is still an ES engineering sample and is an early version of the A0 step. i9-13900 has the same 8 large cores + 16 small cores, 32MB L2 cache, and 36MB L3 cache as the flagship i9-13900K.

Intel has now confirmed that the processor series will use Intel 7 process, double-digit performance improvement, up to 24 cores and 32 threads, i.e. 8 large cores + 16 small cores, with enhanced overclocking capabilities and compatibility with 12th generation Core platforms. Intel’s partners will also release Z790 motherboards in parallel, and B760 and H710 series motherboards may be launched next year.

According to Videocarz, Intel’s 13th generation Core desktop processor series will be launched in October (probably on the 17th).
