Intel discontinues several Gemini Lake Refresh series Pentium/Celeron processors

According to Tom’s Hardware, Intel will discontinue the Gemini Lake Refresh (GLK-R) processors, according to the latest product change notice from Intel.

According to the introduction, the series of processors launched in 2019, using the 14-nanometer process, divided into two categories of Pentium and Celeron, up to 4 cores 4 threads, common in entry-level and ultra-low-power desktops, notebooks, mini PC and AIO.

The discontinued Gemini Lake Refresh series processor models are as follows:

  • Pentium Silver J5040
  • Pentium Silver N5030
  • Celeron J4125
  • Celeron N4120
  • Celeron J4025
  • Celeron N4020
  • Celeron N4020C

Intel documents show that customers also have until November 24, 2023, and August 25, 2023, to place final orders for these two discontinued processors, which Intel will ship by May 24, 2024.
