Intel CEO Gelsinger: company follows Moore’s Law and is committed to developing semiconductor

The 2022 World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit was held. Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger (Pat Gelsinger) said, looking ahead to the next decade, everything will continue to be digital, the way we work, learn, connect, develop and operate. The digitalization process is driven by the chip.

Gelsinger says the digital age will witness the true magic of technology, and that super-technological forces include.

  • Computation, where everything is a computer.
  • Connectivity, where all people and things are interconnected.
  • Infrastructure, infinitely scalable capacity and coverage, while meeting the demand for lower latency and higher bandwidth.
  • Artificial intelligence, where intelligence is everywhere, transforms unlimited data into tangible and actionable insights.

These ubiquitous super-technology forces are described as satisfying our desire to simulate everything from fully immersive digital experiences to intelligent diversions to virtual economies, metaverse experiences and more. As these super-technological forces evolve, the world’s need for computing will increase exponentially.

In addition, Gelsinger noted that Intel follows Moore’s Law and is committed to developing semiconductor design and manufacturing to help its customers in China and around the world solve the big challenges they face.

The following is the main content of Pat Gelsinger’s speech.

Hi everyone, I’m Pat Gelsinger, CEO of Intel. It’s an honor to be invited to join you again at the World Internet Conference.

Technology is playing an increasingly important role in every aspect of human life. Looking ahead to the next decade, everything will continue to be digital, the way we work, learn, connect, develop and operate. The digital process is driven by the chip.

In the digital age, we will witness the true magic of technology. With what I often call the power of super technology, we can foster innovation, exploration and growth. These foundational technologies drive the leap from the analog to the digital age, profoundly shaping the way we experience the world and combining to enhance and empower each other. As super-technology forces become more pervasive, they unleash even more powerful new possibilities.

Supertech forces include computing, where everything is a computer; connectivity, where everyone and everything is interconnected; infrastructure, with infinitely scalable capacity and reach while meeting the demand for lower latency and higher bandwidth; and artificial intelligence, where intelligence is everywhere, transforming unlimited data into tangible, actionable insights.

Over the past year, I’ve been talking about the power of Supertech and having a great time talking with customers and industry colleagues. To these four, we should add “sensing and perception” to the Supertech power, where the massive amounts of data provided by edge-smart devices merge with advances in automation, processing, reasoning and software to give machines human-centric capabilities that can help us see what we can’t see with the naked eye, identify objects, and discern where we are. Machines are enhancing our perception of reality in new and exciting ways.

These ubiquitous supertechnological forces satisfy our desire to simulate everything, from fully immersive digital experiences to intelligent doppelgangers to virtual economies, metaverse experiences, and more. Of course, as these super-technology forces evolve, the world’s need for computing will increase exponentially.

For more than 30 years, Intel and China have maintained a long-term partnership to build the digital world. It started in 1985 when Intel was one of the first multinational companies to do business in China. Since then, Intel has partnered with our customers, some of the world’s most innovative companies such as Alibaba, ByteBeat and Tencent, to successfully build the digital infrastructure that drives industry and economic growth through more than $13 billion of investment and the efforts of more than 11,000 exceptional Chinese employees.

Intel has high expectations for its growth in China, and China has high expectations for Intel. Intel China stays true to Intel’s mission to create technology that can benefit society through the power of our super technologies. Following Moore’s Law, Intel is committed to developing semiconductor design and manufacturing to help its customers in China and around the world solve the big challenges they face. By integrating intelligence into the cloud, edge and end, along with powerful computing, we can unlock the potential of data to drive growth and make entire industries and societies better.

Thank you all for your support and cooperation. We wish you a very successful conference! We look forward to meeting you all offline soon.
