Intel today officially announced the N series of processors for entry-level computing, up to 8 cores and 8 threads, 32EU core graphics specifications.

According to the introduction, Intel’s N-series processors use Intel’s new Gracemont CPU microarchitecture with 7 process steps, with options for 4 to 8 energy-efficient cores, providing excellent performance per watt. Among them, the Core i3N 8-core model delivers up to 42 percent better overall application system performance and up to 24 percent better Web browsing performance.

As shown above, the N series processors include Intel N and Intel Core N models, the former with 4 cores and the latter with 8 cores, supporting LPDDR5, DDR5, DDR4 memory as well as UFS 2.1, eMMC flash memory and SSDs. According to the introduction, the series processors support 10bit HEVC and VP9 encoding/decoding, AV1 decoding for high color depth; 4K HDR streaming video on TV through HDMI 2.0b interface, capable of connecting up to 3 monitors simultaneously.

Intel said the new Intel® Core TM i3 N-Series processors expand the product selection with good momentum, with more than 50 OEM designs in 2023.
