According to Videocardz news, overclockers Elmorlabs with Intel’s latest 56-core W9-3495X Xeon processor overclocking test, the processor power consumption reached 1881 watts.
The platform tested was reportedly an ASUS W790E-SAGE SE motherboard with Chipset Zeta R5 DDR5 memory designed for the platform. The Xeon W9-3495X was overclocked to a full-core 5.5 GHz and consumed 1,881 watts. The processor uses liquid nitrogen cooling to keep temperatures below -90 degrees Celsius.
In terms of parameters, the Xeon W9-3495X is the flagship model of the Xeon W-3400 series processors, with 56 cores, 112 threads, 105MB of Level 3 cache, 4.8GHz, 8 channels of memory support, 350W of base power consumption, and a price tag of $5889 (currently about RMB 40,634), and is expected to be available in April.
