Apple may have to face other challenges in 2023 in addition to its fraught supply chain. Citing a report from Yahoo Finance, Oppenheimer analyst Martin Yang believes that there are two other major issues in front of Apple in 2023.

In an interview with Yahoo Finance Live, analyst Martin Yang believes that

"First, consumers' willingness to upgrade and replace their iPhones has been relatively strong over the past two years, although this will decline in 2023. This is mainly because consumers have already upgraded to new devices, and the continued macroeconomic pressure next year will cause consumers to postpone the upgrade.

Second, it is Apple's service software revenue growth is sluggish, it is difficult to have a breakthrough."

EvercoreISI analyst Amit Daryanani said in a note.

"We are lowering our iPhone shipment estimates for the current quarter (October-December) due to a number of adverse factors, including Foxconn. These factors could result in a production cut of 5-8 million units of iPhone (mainly the Pro premium model), costing $5-8 billion in the quarter."

Dan Ives, managing director of Wedbush, said on Yahoo Finance Live.

"This is certainly a bad time for Apple. iPhone shortages in Apple Store stores are over 30%."
