iFixit disassembles Apple iPhone 15, showing microscopic details

0

Repair website iFixit disassembled Apple’s new iPhone 15 Pro Max last week. Now the website has conducted a more in-depth disassembly of the standard iPhone 15, including using a microscope to observe many components. Allowing us to see details of our equipment that we wouldn’t normally be able to see.

Using a microscope, iFixit was able to get a closer look at the iPhone’s casing, adhesives and display, down to individual pixels. There are enlarged views of everything from the battery connectors to the magnets inside the Taptic Engine.

The iPhone 15 is very similar to the iPhone 14 as the design has not changed. However, it is noticed that the new phone has a larger 48-megapixel camera. iFixit confirmed that the camera is actually different from the 48-megapixel camera in the iPhone 15 Pro Max. The iPhone 15’s camera is about 22% smaller, which means that The camera doesn’t perform as well as the iPhone 15 Pro Max’s camera in low-light conditions.
